Indoor Furniture Handmade in Derbyshire

Everything on this page is made to order in our workshop on the edge of the Peak District, by the same team that makes our garden furniture. The range runs from an Β£80 hallway console to a solid walnut dining table for twelve, and the same rules apply to all of it: solid timber rather than veneer, steel forged and powder coated in the UK, and a finish applied by hand.

Three timbers, one workshop

Most of the range is built from one of three materials. Reclaimed Derbyshire mill timber β€” floorboards and beams from mills built 100 to 200 years ago, salvaged locally, planed back and finished with the nail holes and saw marks left in β€” is the basis of our Industrial Reclaimed range. Scandinavian pine in 32mm to 50mm thicknesses carries the hairpin-leg pieces and the solid wood desk, stained by hand in six colours. American black walnut, solid through the board, is used for our Walnut Furniture: consoles, coffee tables, dining tables and the Monsal sideboard.

Find the piece

Dining tables from 4–6 to 10–12 seaters with matching benches. Console and side tables, including the 15cm-deep narrow console for hallways that will not take a standard one. Coffee tables in pine, reclaimed timber or walnut. TV units and sideboards with soft-close drawers. Bookcases and shelving at 180cm tall. Desks from a light hairpin-leg pine desk to a 40mm reclaimed writing desk with a lower shelf.

Sizes, delivery and guarantee

Every design comes in a choice of sizes, and if none of them fits your room we will make it to your measurements β€” ask for a bespoke quotation. Delivery to UK mainland addresses is free, by a two-person team who carry the piece to the room you want it in. All of our furniture is covered by the Timber Foundry guarantee.
