A console table has one job: to give a hallway, landing or the wall behind a sofa somewhere to put things without taking the floor space you walk through. So the first number to look at on every table here is the depth. Ours run from 15cm to 24cm, and each one is chosen for a different kind of space.
Which console table?
The Narrow Hallway Console Table is just 15cm deep on hairpin legs β the one for a hallway that will not take a standard console. Four lengths from 70cm to 130cm, two heights, six stain colours, from Β£80. The Console Table with Drawer is 22cm deep with a drawer for keys and post, and a rear lip so it sits flush to skirting. The Industrial Console Table puts a 35mm pine top on a steel frame we weld in our own workshop, 24cm deep. The Solid Walnut Console is 20cm deep in 30mm American black walnut on two hand-forged legs β the one for a room where the table itself is the point.
Side and bedside tables
The Cube Bedside Table in reclaimed Derbyshire timber stands 60cm high with a lower shelf, so it clears the mattress on most divan and upholstered beds. It is sold singly or as a pair.
