Every one of our tables is made to order from our workshop in the Derbyshire Dales. Our pine tables have a chunky 45mm solid top on a choice of timber or steel legs, in four lengths from 150 to 240cm, seating 4 to 12, with benches to match and a parasol hole if you'd like one. All the pine is pressure-treated, so it's hardy enough to live outside for years, which is why pubs and restaurants buy it as well as homes. The sapele hardwood sets are oiled and sit on a UK-forged steel frame. Prices start from £580, our pine tables leave us in 4–5 working days, delivery is free across the UK mainland, and every table comes with a 15 Year Warranty. Furnishing a pub or café garden? Pine or sapele hardwood?
Pine. Pressure-treated, sustainably sourced pine with a chunky 45mm solid top, the look that most people come to us for. The treatment is what makes it so hardy outdoors year after year, which is why so much of it goes to pubs and restaurants. It can be left natural to silver down or stained, and it takes a knock. Five of the seven sets are pine, and they're the quickest to make.
Sapele hardwood. A dense, stable hardwood used for boats and joinery, finished in marine-grade teak oil and set on a UK-forged steel frame in gun-grey powder coat with adjustable levelling feet. It costs more and takes 3–4 weeks, and it's the one to choose if you want a finer, flatter top that needs the least looking after.
Assembled or bolt-on?
The timber-leg tables and the sapele sets arrive fully assembled: there is nothing to build. The steel-leg tables arrive flat-packed; the legs bolt into the underside of the top with the fixings supplied, a few minutes with a spanner. Benches arrive ready to use.
Delivery is free to the UK mainland and tracked. Pine tables and benches leave the workshop 4–5 working days after you order; sapele hardwood sets take 3–4 weeks.
Looking after a wooden garden table
These are built for British weather and live outside all year. A coat of exterior oil twice a year, spring and autumn, keeps the colour and the water resistance up; left alone, pine weathers to silver-grey without coming to any harm. Solid timber moves with the seasons, so small surface checks along the grain are normal and not a fault. Every table and bench is covered by our 15 Year Warranty.
Trade orders and bespoke sizes
For a pub, café, hotel or office garden we make the same tables and benches in the quantities you need and deliver to site. See commercial outdoor furniture for trade pricing and lead times, or ask about a bespoke piece if you need a size or shape we don't list.
Questions people ask
Do your garden tables arrive assembled?
The timber-leg tables and the sapele hardwood sets do: nothing to build. The steel-leg tables arrive flat-packed and the legs bolt into the underside of the top with the fixings supplied, a few minutes with a spanner. Benches arrive ready to use.
How long does a garden table take?
Pine tables and benches leave the workshop 4–5 working days after you order. Sapele hardwood sets take 3–4 weeks. Everything is made to order in Derbyshire.
Is delivery really free?
Yes, to the UK mainland (excluding the Highlands and offshore islands), tracked. Prices on this page include it.
Can I leave it outside all year?
Yes. The pine is pressure-treated, which is what keeps it sound outdoors year after year, and the sapele is oiled; both are made to live outside. A cover over winter keeps the finish fresher for longer, but it isn't essential.
Do I need to oil or treat it?
Not to protect it, but a coat of exterior oil twice a year keeps the colour. Left untreated, pine weathers to a silver-grey. The hardwood sets come finished in marine-grade teak oil and can be re-oiled the same way.
How long will a wooden garden table last?
Decades, looked after. Every table and bench comes with our 15 Year Warranty.
What size do I need?
Allow about 60cm per person. 150cm seats 4–6, 180cm 6–8, 210cm 8–10 and 240cm 10–12. The sizes table above has the widths and heights.
Can I have a parasol hole?
Yes. It's an option at the same price on the chunky X-leg, slatted, steel X-leg, steel box-leg and hardwood table & benches listings; the steel X-leg dining set comes with one as standard.
Do the benches slide under the table?
On most sets the benches are made slightly shorter than the table so they tuck underneath. The bench length for each size is on the product page.
Can you make a different size or shape?
Yes. Tell us what you need and we'll quote from your measurements.
Do you supply pubs, cafés and hotels?
Yes, from a single table to a full garden. See commercial outdoor furniture or get in touch.
Why is 'from £580' the table only?
Each listing is priced for the table alone in the smallest size. Choose one or two benches, and the size you need, on the product page and the price updates.
