Solid American Black Walnut Coffee Table

A coffee table with a 45mm top in solid American black walnut, on a UK-forged trapezoid steel frame. 100cm long, 60cm deep, 40cm high. The top is solid walnut throughout — the same timber at the core as on the surface — and finished in satin oil rather than lacquer, so it keeps the depth of the grain and can be refreshed with a cloth and more oil rather than a workshop visit.

It is worth being specific about this, because the trade is not. Tables sold at this price and above under titles like "Oak Coffee Table" or "Walnut Coffee Table" are frequently a sub-millimetre veneer over MDF, disclosed only in the small print. A veneer cannot be sanded, chips at the edge and cannot be repaired. This one can be sanded flat and re-oiled for as long as the timber lasts.

The frame is forged and welded in the UK to a trapezoid profile that keeps the leg line clear of a sofa front. Everything is cut, assembled and finished by hand in our workshop in Derbyshire.

If you wish to return your items, you must contact us within 15 days of purchase. If the goods require collection, we will collect them from the address to which they were delivered. However due to the size and weight of our products you will be charged a collection fee for returning unwanted products that are not faulty or damaged. Your refund will be processed after the product is returned to our warehouse and thoroughly inspected. We will contact you to arrange a suitable time for collection.
