A welly stand built properly. Most wooden welly racks are light indoor pieces that won't survive a porch, and most outdoor ones are thin steel. This one is made in our Derbyshire workshop from chunky 44mm pressure-treated timber β the same stock as our garden planters β so it's as at home in the boot room or utility as it is by the back door.
Boots hang upside down on the pegs so the water runs out and the insides dry, ready for the next walk. Four pairs fit on a footprint no bigger than a doormat, with a slatted shelf underneath for shoes, a boot jack, a brush or the dog's towel.

Size
W76 Γ D35 Γ H85cm overall. Full-height adult wellies hang clear of the shelf with room to spare, and children's boots hang just as well. Peg spacing 17cm, so wide-calf and neoprene boots fit without touching. Weight approx. 12kg.
How it goes together
The two end frames and both peg rails come built and finished. Stand the ends up, bolt each rail across with four coach screws into the pre-drilled holes, and drop the two shelf slats on. A 13mm spanner is all you need, and every hole lines up because they're drilled on the same jig the rails are made on.
Indoors and out
Outside, keep it on a patio or hard standing rather than bare soil and it will outlast several pairs of boots. The stain can be refreshed with any exterior wood stain in years to come. Inside, it sits happily in a boot room, hallway or utility β a mat or tiled floor underneath takes care of any drips.
