Industrial Dining Table with Forged Rebar Legs and Wood & Glass Top
A one-off dining table with a combined wood and glass top carried on legs built from forged steel rebar, worked by hand into a sculptural frame rather than cut and welded to a pattern. The glass lets you see down into the structure, which is the whole reason the base was made the way it was β on a solid top, none of that work would be visible.
This is a single piece. It was drawn, forged and finished once in our Derbyshire workshop, and when it sells we will not make it again. The rebar is worked hot and the marks of that are left in the steel, so the frame is not symmetrical and is not meant to be.
